RULES

Please note that to complete the entry process you will need the following information:

                                  Date of birth [dogs not yours!]

                                  Dog registration number

                                  Vaccination records

DOG ELIGIBILITY

Minimum age for dog participation is 9 months at the time of the event.

Dogs must hold a valid and current registration with their given council.

Dogs must be friendly and sociable around all other dogs, adults and children. Dogs that are classified as dangerous, menacing or that are on heat are not eligible.

Vaccination records

Will be required for online registration.

They must be up to date with all vaccinations. Parvo, Lepto and

Kennel Cough. 

Dogs must be free from any health-related issues.

'Running With Paws' strongly recommends dogs be medically cleared by a veterinarian before entering. 

If any dog appears to be distressed or harmed, the race day Veterinarian reserves the right to cease participation.

One dog per competitor 

Competitors handling the dog must sixteen years old or older.

​

Competitors and Dogs must stay on the marked course at all times.

There are water ways including rivers and creeks surrounding the run route. These are not part of the course and will either be cordoned off or maned by marshals. 

For your safety, please, keep away from these bodies of water.

No retractable leads.

Dogs must be on a short leash at all times. 

Even before and after the event.

​

 

Race Packs 

Dogs will be provided with a band in the race pack. This attached to the dog's collar. The dogs name, your name and an emergency contact number must be written on the band. The emergency contact person must be available to collect the dog in the event of pet/owner separation or for any other reason.

PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG

Please make sure that you bring along some Doggie-Doo bags so that you can clean up if your dog needs to go to the toilet.  There will be rubbish bins available to dispose of this at the venue.
